KASAA LIFE: Can you please share with us how a fitness coach's typical day begins? What does a coach’s breakfast look like?

ALICIA LAMUSSE: The day begins with me taking care of my daughters like a mother, followed by Coach's breakfast. I detest calorie counting! I enjoy many things, ranging from protein smoothies to eggs, cereals, and fruit before leaving the house.

KASAA LIFE: How do you balance your diet plan to be in excellent health and shape?

ALICIA LAMUSSE:  The Demand is high for me. I made an effort to stay inside the 2700Kal/Day range. Everyone is unique. Just my body speaks to me. We only have one health and one life, thus I have discovered my equilibrium. Nevertheless, I am still a human being with flaws. It's similar to "Do as I say, not as I do'.

KASAA LIFE: When did you fall in love with the sport?

ALICIA LAMUSSE: My DNA is rooted in sports. To say, "I felt into it when I was little," is appropriate! My life has always included athletics; it is my oxygen.

KL: Can you talk us through your training specifics? How often do you normally train?

AL: Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, there are three strength sessions: one HIIT training, one run, and two rest days.

KL: What would you say inspired you to start LE STUDIO Fitness? What made you start your own business?

AL: I was never going to be able to enter the circuit and work for others. I started this journey because I wanted to create and invest in myself. I enjoy giving myself challenges, even if they are not always simple and need a lot of patience, ingenuity, and creativity.

KL: What did you do before starting LE STUDIO?

AL: Since returning to Mauritius, I have primarily worked one-on-one. I came to see that certain people required a companion to motivate them. It was proposed to provide small-group workouts in addition to personal training. There are, at LE STUDIO already accommodations for 30 people, while that was not the goal of the program. I wished to continue helping the individuals.

KL: What makes LE STUDIO Fitness unique? What is the most challenging thing about building a sport club brand?

AL: LE STUDIO is a unique sport club  that does not meet the usual standards for gyms. It is a welcoming environment where members enjoy practicing and improving their athletic skills. Their objectives are ours, and we ensure that they accomplish them securely. LE STUDIO has a focus on individuals. The club is dedicated to people of all ages, body types, and fitness levels, from beginners to professional athletes. The objective is to learn how to discover your body, build it, maintain it, and better love it. To live up to the expectations of those who trust you!

KL: How do you handle work-life balance as a successful businesswoman, wife, and mother of two kids?

AL: My life is a real puzzle! Every minute is counted, and I try to do my best to make sure that everyone finds their place. My days are very intense. I try to be productive enough during the hours I work to devote my evenings and weekends to my children and my husband. It is all about the priorities you set, and while my children's well-being always comes before work, I may have to break my own rules to meet an urgent work requirement. If I can manage family life and business projects, it is also thanks to my partner. We have built up a real partnership that allows us to share our responsibilities fairly.

KL: What are the secrets to your success?

AL:Believe in your dreams and give yourself the means to achieve them! One day a guidance counselor believed in me and told me over and over again: You have the ability to reach great heights! I engraved this sentence in me, and I believed in it. I live with my time and its evolution, and I take my place as best I can. For me, being a woman is not a weakness; today, women are everywhere: company directors, heads of government, astronauts, truck drivers; they succeed and are fulfilled. It is all a question of will. You must not ask yourself any questions and decide to lead your professional, emotional, and family lives at the same time.

KL: What are your tips for growing your own business?

AL: Motivation, discipline, determination.

KL: What are the things you are most proud of, happy about, satisfied with, most enjoyed, or most glad of from the past 10 years?

AL: My family—my two daughters—are my inspiration. My work, my successes.

KL: What advice would you now give yourself if you had started your career?

AL: Never give up! This is my motto. Your level of success is determined by your level of self-discipline and perseverance. You have to impose yourself where you want to succeed; it is all a question of will.

KL: What advice would you give someone interested in starting their own business?

AL: Don’t watch the clock! Do what you set out to do! Be willing to sacrifice comfort to grow.
